Speaking at the VGAs this weekend, Hideo Kojima has said he'd love to make Zone of the Enders 3 if Kojima Productions had the manpower.
"We want to make that game as well, the only thing is that we don't have staff who are able to work on that game."
"We have an environment where we could work on it using the FOX Engine. If we had staff available to work on that game, we would like to."
FOX is Kojima Productions' new proprietary engine, which will "pave the way for games to go multiplatform". It is not currently associated with any existing game project.
The studio is currently at work on HD ports of the previous Zone of the Enders games for Xbox 360 and PS3. "I'm working on them, they're working out pretty good, we're working at a pretty good pace," said Kojima. "I can't announce a release date, but I can assure you guys it won't take that long. We're working on the beta versions."
