LG Electronics who you might know from the monitor you are looking at right now or from all the other electronics products they have made including the LG smartphones have teamed up with Capcom to bring those in Japan, Korea and America some pretty cool news.

As you may or may not know, LG phones will have a port of the Street Fighter IV series made for them called “Street Fighter IV: HD” and to celebrate this, LG and Capcom are holding a series of tournaments to try and crown a winner in not only Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition 2012 on the Xbox 360, but an even bigger tournament for Street Fighter IV: HD.

With over $8000 in cash for the top 3 in Super SFIV: AE2012 on the 360 and close to $14,000 on the line for Street Fighter IV: HD you can expect pro and casual players to come out and give it a go, especially SFIV: HD in which anyone has a chance to win at this point.

We’re not sure whether the events will be streamed LIVE yet, but we’ll keep you posted if that info surfaces soon.
