Abstract
Before the English video games are introduced to the Chinese market, the video games’ terms are usually translated into Chinese. Because of the culture differences between the East and the West as well as the translators’ unfamiliarity with the video games’ background, several common inaccurate translated terms appear in the video games’ terms. These inaccuracies should be found out and modified in order to avoid unnecessary problems after the introduction. This dissertation is going to talk about the responsibility of the translators, the video games players and the publishers in the translation work of the video games’ Terms.
